Benevolence Lights up my Later Life: A Tailored Meta-programme to Face with Ageing Population in Macau highlights the concept of active ageing, and designs the programme details and form of training based on solid evidence. It fully integrates with the teaching, programmes and researches of Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau (KWNC) to guarantee adequate support in terms of manpower and evidence. Academic staff of KWNC help supervise and take part in the operations of different training programmes by serving as the programmeˇ¦s supervisory committee and planning committee members. Moreover, the programme collaborates closely with community institutions (primarily General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau) and takes the opportunity to widely promote active ageing to the community. Acting in line with the policy direction of the Macao SAR Government, ˇ§Benevolence Lights up my Later Lifeˇ¨ aims at accomplishing three major schemes in five years time, and through which, initiates comprehensive and systematic education on active ageing, and builds up a prevention-oriented and harmonious society.
